About Dr CK Sinha
Mr CK Sinha is an experienced consultant in paediatric urology and paediatric surgery, with more than two decades dedicated to the surgical care of children. He provides specialist services at Cromwell Hospital in London, Springfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Spire London East Hospital in Ilford, and Spire St Anthony’s Hospital in Cheam.
His clinical expertise covers a broad range of paediatric urological conditions, including inguinal hernia, hydrocele, undescended testes, phimosis, circumcision, scrotal and genital pain, as well as both open and laparoscopic (keyhole) procedures. In paediatric general surgery, he treats conditions such as tongue-tie, ingrown toenail, umbilical and epigastric hernias, neck lumps, lipomas, sebaceous cysts, pilonidal sinus, appendicitis, intussusception, Meckel’s diverticulum, abdominal pain, haemangiomas, lymphangiomas, thyroglossal and branchial cysts, and pyloric stenosis. He is also skilled in placing central venous lines and performing surgery for extra digits.
Mr Sinha has particular experience in paediatric gastrointestinal surgery, managing complex problems such as constipation, unexplained abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, rectal prolapse, imperforate anus, and Hirschsprung’s disease.
Internationally recognised for his academic contributions, Mr Sinha has authored more than 125 peer-reviewed publications and delivered over 45 presentations at national and international meetings. His textbook on paediatric surgery, published by Springer London-New York, is regarded as one of the leading reference works in the field.
He has trained and worked at some of the UK’s most prestigious centres, including Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, St George’s University Hospital, King’s College Hospital, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, gaining extensive experience in complex paediatric and neonatal surgery.
